Climate Change and Health

The focus of the lecture is set on temperature and precipitation trends besides extreme events. This will result in significant risks to the health of humans, livestock and wild animals. Both extreme events and gradual climate change will directly impact a broad range of indirect health risks by itself, which can range depending on the Earth region and vulnerability of the population of water- and insect- transmitted infectious diseases and snake bites to malnutrition and armed conflicts.
